Re7 Capital Launches $10 Million Fund for Early-Stage SocialFi Startups
Re7 Capital has launched a $10 million venture fund targeting early-stage SocialFi — the emerging segment blending Web3 and social media. The fund plans to back 25–30 startups with cheques of $100,000–$300,000, with additional capital reserved for follow-on investments. It is anchored by Re7 Capital with support from Lens, Farcaster co-founder Dan Romero, and existing Re7 limited partners.
General Partner Luc de Leyritz acknowledges SocialFi has lagged behind other crypto categories like RWA tokenisation and stablecoins in adoption, but argues the sector is at an inflection point as infrastructure, talent, and user behaviour converge. The deliberately small fund size, he says, keeps incentives focused on performance rather than fees. Over 60% of the target has already been committed, with a close expected by end of summer.
