Re7 Capital Launches $10 Million Venture Fund Focused on SocialFi

Re7 Capital, the London-based DeFi investment firm managing over $600 million in digital assets, has launched a $10 million venture fund dedicated to SocialFi — the emerging intersection of social media and decentralised finance. The fund aims to back 25–30 early-stage startups with initial cheques of $100,000–$300,000, with additional capital reserved for follow-on investments.

The fund is anchored by Re7 Capital alongside backers including Lens, Farcaster co-founder Dan Romero, and existing Re7 limited partners. Over 60% of the target has already been committed, with a second close expected imminently.

Re7's SocialFi general partner Luc de Leyritz describes the category as "the most important in crypto investing today," pointing to maturing infrastructure — including Lens Chain and Farcaster — and a shift in user behaviour toward attention-based incentive models as key drivers. He expects broader SocialFi adoption within the next 12–24 months, and sees the fund as a timely expansion beyond Re7's core liquid and on-chain strategies.
